Welcome to ALL 52
Everyone has to carve their own path, and ALL 52 is a product of that. Prepare for diversified sports coverage all year long.
A Little About Me
Since 2020, I haven’t known a day without having something to report on… until last month.
After covering Temple and the American Athletic Conference for student outlets, OwlScoop/Rivals and the Philadelphia Inquirer, I joined The Messenger as a breaking news reporter in July.
As the company launched its sports desk, I was able to sign on to a well-paying job fresh out of college to help some friends of my former boss from the Inquirer, Michael Huang.
The role wasn't what I was used to and far from what I wanted to do with my career, but it was a foot in the door to enter the national space. I was able to produce exclusives and original content on Fran Dunphy’s 600th win, expansion in The American, the future of the remaining Pac-12 schools, the ACC v. Florida State and more.
Toward final quarter of 2023, the company became the talk of the media industry for bad reasons as financial uncertainty surrounded Jimmy Finkelstein and the powers that be.
To make a long story short, The Messenger ran out of money and notified all employees of termination close to 5 p.m. ET on Jan. 31 — after we’d already learned our fates from several colleagues in the national media.
Now, fresh off a month of planning my future and taking some time off, I’m taking my career into my own hands.
What to Expect
There’s no telling if I’ll be back on a full-time beat anytime soon. But if/when that day comes, you can still rely on coverage from All 52. My experience at The Messenger taught me that it’s still important to own your own thing (thanks, Jeff Goodman).
In the coming weeks and months, me and a few of my trusted friends in the media will provide a wide range of sports in several forms of content. We’ll have original breaking news, features, columns, notebooks and podcasts ready for your consumption as we all chase our dreams.
